Renewable Electricity DeliveredThrough The Grid
Etana Energy is H1's licensed energy trader, providing large commercial and industrial customers in South Africa with tailored renewable energy solutions across structured, wheeled, and blended supply arrangements. In doing so, Etana connects power generation assets to customer demand across the market.
Making Renewable Energy Simple
Etana Energy is a NERSA-licensed electricity trader, majority black-owned, and backed by shareholders who are leading players in South Africa's renewable energy industry with over 2.5GW of wind and solar already in operation. Customers get a high percentage of clean electricity through the grid, at competitive pricing, with more flexibility than a traditional PPA. Through the energy wheeling model, Etana provides direct access to renewable electricity generated from our portfolio of wind and solar projects across South Africa to Eskom and municipal networks.

Powering Your BusinessThrough the Grid

Etana Energy is revolutionising how businesses access clean, affordable power through the energy wheeling model. Etana enables businesses by simply supplying renewable energy delivered through the grid, giving customers access to renewable electricity generated from a blended portfolio of wind and solar projects across South Africa. Etana purchases energy from multiple Independent Power Producers (IPPs) under long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and allocates this energy to customers across Eskom and municipal networks, providing flexible renewable energy solutions designed around customer business needs.
Who Etana Serves
Etana serves large commercial and industrial electricity users across South Africa, including mines, industrial users, property groups, manufacturers, municipalities and businesses with high, continuous electricity demand profiles. Etana's blended wind and solar generation portfolio is designed to support customers requiring higher renewable energy coverage, including operations that run 24/7.
